I create sacred soul-crafted Goddess Art to reconnect women to embodiment, to the earth, to womb-space, to dreaming, to empowerment. These mythical and magical images will enhance surroundings on not just a aesthetic level, they are visual and energetic amulets.
If you could look back through some of the scrapbooks of childhood art you would see that my preferred creative explorations have always revolved around Goddesses, spirituality, the female experience and mythical creatures.
Continuing to celebrate the female form in adulthood I create art that aims to foster connection, ritual and intimacy within the body, based largely upon my lived experiences.
A variety of things that have contributed to the evolution of my creative life, from trauma, to my studies within the spheres of fashion design and yoga, to my travels, and also being raised surrounded in the beauty of Waiheke Island.
I have used my creativity to understand and reflect upon my life from a young age. As an adult I still use art to make sense of my individual (and our collective) experience of life. Dreams and intuitive insights weave in to guide my creative process and spark inspirations. Often I will dream of an artwork, or dream of something that wants to be created.
Perhaps for some, a few of my images may be confronting. However, my intent is not to shock or provoke. My desire only is to show what I personally consider to be the inherent beauty, power and sacredness of women's bodies and journeys.
I am grateful that my art has adorned books, journals, course manuals, human bodies, altars and walls. I have created logos, and images for oracle decks and calendars.
